Hi guys,
Here we are, back to the normal life, I can't really change the name of the blog but we're still in a new part of the world, everything is new for us, in a few years everything changed in France and everybody makes fun of us as we put english word in all our sentences.
So Matt started his new job on monday and his dad had already planed a lot of work for him, first conference call at 10.00pm with a client in Saoudi Arabia, Matt was not that happy!!!
Me, I started school on monday as well. So you can easily deduce that Matt is the one who makes the money and I'm the one who spend it, I love it!!!
I'm gonna learn a lots of new stuuf, it feels really geeky, but it's great so far I love it and people in my class seems really nice. So weird to be with all these people speaking french all day long but easier as well.
Funny thing, there is a girl in my class she used to leave in London in Sheperd's Bush and guess where she was working, yesssssssssssss... in Baker Street. She's been back for a month already, and she find it really weird as well.
Anyway, we should have our house beginning of june, so the offer is still on, come whenever you want guys, knowing that I will be there only at week end and you will have to stay only with Matt, so all single pretty girls are not invited.

This is the end... - C'est la fin
... my only friend the end... ok it's not really like that but I love this song from the Doors. Anyway, that will be MY las post from far away as we can conclude that Matt was not really active on the blog, we all agree about that.
We are at the Las Vegas airport, we had an awesome time in America, and Las Vegas is definitely the most crazy place in the world.
Matt is currently buying sweets in the airport shop, and I said THE airport shop as in our terminal there is only two shops, I'm glad they've got a wifi spot.
Anyway, to tell us what we did this last few days. First, we saw the Grand Canyon, and I have to tell u, if u go in america for one thing that must be this one, it's just unbelievable and as the said in the guide book, nothing can't prepare u to what you're going to see, that one of the most beautiful thing I've ever seen, it will put tear in your eyes and make you feel you're a little nothing.
After the Grand Canyon and the desertic land of Arizona (a real cowboy movie), we went to Las Vegas which is more than crazy and quite unbelievable but on a differnt level. We manage not to loose to many dollars and we went to see an incredible show from Le Cirque du Soleil, KA, and I've had to tell u, that's really something, that's a terrific show.
I guess I should turn off the computer as they will soon call us in the plane. Speak u soon guys, and for some of u in real.

Matt est en train d'acheter des sucreries dans le magasin de l'aeroport et je dis le magasin car il y a seulement 2 magasins (dont un est un restaurant), je suis contente qu'il y est une connection wifi.
Bref, pour vous dire ce que nous avons fait des derniers jours, nous sommes alles au Grtnad Canyon et je dois vous dire que si vous devez voir une seule chose aux USA, c'est celle la, c'est juste incroyable et comme ils le disent dans le guide, rien ne peut vous preparer a ce que vous allez voir, c'est l'une des choses les plus magnifiques que j'ai jamais vu, a vous en mettre les larmes aux yeux et vous faire sentir vraiment peu de choses.
Apres le Grand Canyon et les terres desertiques de l'Arizona (un vrai film de cowboy), nous sommes alles a Las Vegas qui est plus que fou et aussi assez incroyable mais a un niveau different. On a reussi a ne pas perdre trop d'argent dans les casinos et nous avons vu un superbe show du Cirque du Soleil, Ka, et c'est vraiment quelquechose, un show vraiment genial.
Bon je crois qu'il est temps pour moi d'eteindre l'ordi car on va bientot nous appeller pour l'embarquement. A bientot et pour certains a tres tres bientot.

Matt is writing this post... - Mathieu ecrit ce post
... no I'm kidding, it's still me. Matt is (try to picture this in your head) in his underwear, in front of the TV. The perfect Al Bundy. God, sometimes I feel like the luckiest girl in the world!
Anyway, already in may and i didn't post anything since half of april, so here we go, that might be one of the last post from far far away. We are in the US, and you know what, it's not as bad as we thought. You know french, how we are with the americans, but I have to say we met really helpful and nice people. Matt, obsiously, says that California is differnet from the rest of the US, but I really enjoy my time here, my belly not so much, food is really greasy, good but really greasy. We had the best burger in LA at Tommy's with chili, god that was good. We went to the Universal Studios and we saw the set of Desperate Housewives, you can bet that I was mega excited. LA was really like on TV, in each piece of street you spot something you've seen in a movie. But for now, our heart is with San Francisco, this city is fantastic (thanks to Deb and Andy for their good book address). We visited Alcatraz, said hello to the sea lion on the pier 39 (god, they stink so much) and we ride on cable car (which by the way, it's great, i love it).
Tommorow, we're leaving for the Sonoma Valley and we're going to do some wine tasting, and after that the Death Valley will open its door to us following by the Grand Canyon and we finish by Vegas, where I will try to get Matt drunk to marry me (like in Married with children).
Anyway, we are nearly back in UK for a few days and after that to old good France. So, as soon as we get a place to live, you're all welcome to spend your holidays in the south east of France.
That's it for tonight guys (by the way, i'm writing on my brand new laptop, Matt took a picture of me when I was opening it and make a video saying that I was becoming a geek, so to make it clear I'm not a geek, not even a nerd, I'm with the cool people ok, not the geek, I'm with the cool people).

... non je deconne, c'est toujours moi. Matt est (essayer de vous faire une image dans la tete) en sous vetement sur le lit en train de regarder la TV. Le parfait Al Bundy. Dieu, parfois, je me sens comme la fille la plus chanceuse de la terre!
Bref, deja en mai et je n'ai rien mis sur le blog depuis mis avril, donc nous y voila, c'est peu etre le dernier post que je fais depuis nos vacances de tres loin. Nous sommes au USA, and vous savez quoi, c'est pas aussi mal que ce que l'on pensait. Vous savez comment nous sommes nous francais avec les americains, mais je dois dire que nous avons rencontre seulement des gens tres serviables et gentils. Matt, naturellement, dit que la Californie est differente du reste des USA, mais franchement je passe vraiment du bon temps ici, mon ventre pas tellement vu que la nourriture est super grasse, bonne mais tres grasse. On a mange des supers burgers a Los Angeles chez Tommy's avec du chili, dieu que c'etait bon. On est alle aux Studios Universal ou j'ai pu voir la ou se tourne Desperate Housewives, je vous laisse imaginer mon etat d'excitation.
Los Angeles, c'est vraiment comme a la TV, a chaque coin de rue on reconnait un truc qu'on a vu dans un film ou a la TV. Mais je dois dire que notre endroit prefere pour l'instant est San Francisco, cette cille est geniale. Nous avons visite Alcatraz, dit bonjour aux lions de mers sur le pier 39 (dieu, que ca sent mauvais) et on est monte sur un cable car (j'ai adore).
Demain, nous partons pour la Sonoma Valley ou nous allons faire quelques degustations de vin, et apres ca ce sera la vallee de la mort, puis le Grand Canyon et pour finir Vegas, ou j'essairais de saouler Matt pour qu'on se marie (comme dans Maries 2 enfants)
Breef, on est bientot de retour en Angleterre pour quelques jours puis pares ce sera le retour dans notre bonne vieille France. Donc des qu'on aura un endroit pour vivre, vous etes tous les bienvenus pour passer vos vacances dans le Sud-Est de la France.

Lord of the Kiwis - Le Seigneur des Kiwis
Yeeesssssssss, we made it. We are in New Zealand, we survive all the deadliest animals in Australia and we are now safe in New Zealand, though some sheeps are pretty agressive.
One thing to say about New Zealand, it's more than beautiful and if I didn't love France so much I will move here to live but don't worry folks, I know that you will miss me to much so for u and only for u I stay in the North Hemisphere. Nahhhh that's alright don't thank me, I do it for U!
Unfortunatelly we didn't see wild kiwis they are quite rare in the wild now. Endangered species!!! So we went to a wild reserve and we saw some of them. I have to tell u the weidrdest stuff I ever seen with the platypus cause yeah we saw some in Australia.
On the other end, we saw some really wild seal and I can tell u that they get pretty piss off when you disturb them or if some sufers swim where they've decided to swim too.
Still didn't see any hobbits but for the LOR fan we saw Pelenore fields, Fangorn Forest and other stuff that I don't remember but my geeky boyfriend will be really please to explain u when he decide to approch a computer... nahhhh don't expect that before the end of the trip!!!
Anyway, I have to go cause I've got more driving on the left to do, cause yes I'm drivng on the left and with a wheel on the left! And no I didn't kill anybody (yet) and I'm quite good actually. Maybe all this time I was wrong when I was in France and I'm born to drive on the left side (scary!!!).

Ouiiiiiiiiiii, on l'a fait. On est en Nouvelle Zelande, on a survecu tous les plus dangereux animaux qu'on peut trouver en Australie et nous sommes maintenant sains et saufs en Nouvelle Zelande, quoique certains moutons semblent assez agressifs.
Une chose a dire a propos de la Nouvelle Zelande, c'est plus que beau et si je n'aimais pas autant mon pays je demenagerais ici mais pas de soucis les amis, je sais que je vous manquerais trop donc seulement pour vous je reste habiter dans l'hemisphere nord. Nooooon, c'est bon ne me remercais pas, rappellez vous juste que je fais ca pour VOUS!
Malheuresment nous n'avons pas eu la chance de voir des kiwis dans la nature, ils se sont assez rares. Especes en voie de disparition!!! Donc nous sommes alles dans unreserve naturelle specialise en kiwis pour en voir et on en a vu. Je dois vous dire que c'est le truc le plus bizarre que j'ai jamais vu avec l'ornithorinque car oui on en a vu en Australie.
Par contre, on a vu des phoques et je peux vous dire qu'ils sont assez grgnons quand on les derange ou quand des sufeurs planchent du cote ou ils ont decides de nager.
Toujours pas de hobbits en vue mais pour les fan de LOR on a vu les champs du Pelenore et aussi la foret de Phangorn et d'autres trucs que Mathieu pourra vous expliquer, par contre n'attendez pas que ca soit tape sur le blog avant la fin du voyage!
Bref, je dois y aller car on a plus de route a faire et oui moi aussi je conduis et oui sur la gauche avec le volant a gauche! Et non j'ai encore tue personne et je suis assez douee en fait. C'est comme un revelation pour moi comme si toutes ces annees ou j'avais conduit du mauvias cote en France prenez enfin un sens ;p J'etais nee pour conduire sur le cote gauche de la route.

Am I as lazy as Matt? - Est ce que je suis aussi faineante que Mathieu ?
I don't think so! It's just this all country (Australia for the one who are not following) doesn't know the concept of internet cafe. We had to walk for hours to find one in Sydney. So you can see that Australia is not as developed that what you thought ;p
Anyway, we, I mean, I didn't update the blog for a while but there was a good reason on top of the first one, I'm on holiday so I do whatever I want :) (I decide to put a lots of smileys in this post).
Anyway, after Adelaide we went to Melbourne and it was the Moomba festival and it was really good fun with amazing fireworks, we did the Great Ocean Road with a tour that i will recommend, it's called Let's go bush and they are really great. So here we go free advert for them.
After that we took the train again to Adelaide...
Before that, I just want to let u know that me Fanny, I try kangaroo and it was good, but I feel ashame because they are so cute!
Anyway after spending the night in a casino/hotel (we get ready for Vegas) we took the train (again) to Sydney and god that was long and I'm really glad we don't go on the train anymore.
We're enjoying our time in Sydney, there is so many things to do and to visit and mega beautiful beach.
Matt is actually booking a car for us to visit around Sydney this week end. last week end we went to the Blue Moutain and I can tell u that impressive but not as beautiful as my dear Gorges de l'Ardeche (don't forget I'm frnech and proud of it).
On tuesday, we're gonna leave kangoroo island or Andrew's Land if u prefer to Kiwi Island, where we're gonna travel in a camping van. Me and a camping van (and Matt obvousily), I can't really imagine that. Anywway I will see that pretty soon.
That's all for now, as I'm gonna go stuff my face with sushi as it's the only heathy alternative to Mc Donald or Hungry Jack here.

Je ne pense pas ! C'est juste que dans tout le pays (l'Australie pour ceux qui ne suivent pas), le concept d'internet cafe n'est aps tres connu. On a du marcher pendant des heures pour en trouver un dans Sydney. Donc nous pouvons constater que l'Australie n'est aps si developpe que ca ;P
Bref, nous, enfin, je n'ai pas complete le blog depuis longtemps mais il ya une bonne raison a cela, je suis en vacances et je fais ce que je veux :) (j'ai decide de mettre pleins de smileys dans ce post).
Enfin, apres Adelaide, nous sommes partis pour Melbourne ou nous avons pu assister au Moomba festival ou il y de superbes feux d'artifices, ensuite nous avons fait la Route du Grand Ocean avec un groupe que nous vous recommandons ils s'appellent Let's go bush, ils etaient vraiment supers. Donc voila un peu de pub gratuite pour eux.
Apres ca nous avons repris le train pour Adelaide...
Avant ca, il faut que je vous dise, que moi Fanny, j'ai mange du kangourou et que c'etait bon, mais je me sens super coupable vu qu'ils sont trop mignons !
Enfin bref, apres avoir passe la nuit dans un hotel/casino (on se prepare deja pour Vegas), on a repris le train (encore) pour Sydney et mon dieu c'etait vraiment long et je suis contente qu'on est plus a prendre le train jusqu'a la fin du voyage.
On passe du bon temps a Sydney, il y apleinsd e trucs a visiter et des superbes belles plages.
Matt est actuellement en train de reserver une voiture pour ce week end pour que nous aillions visiter les alentours de Sydney. Le week end dernier nous sommes alles dans les Montagnes Bleus et je peux vous dire que c'est assez impressionant mais pas aussi beau que mes cheres Gorges de L'Ardeche (n'oubliez pas je suis francaise et fiere de l'etre)
Mardi nous partons de l'ile de kangourou pour aller dans lile des kiwis, ou on va voyager en camping van. Moi et un camping van ( et Matt evidemment), j'ai du mal a imaginer. On va vite voir ca de toute facon.
C'est tout pour aujourd'hui. Je vais aller manger pleins de sushis vu que c'est la seule alternative dietetique a Mc Do et Burger King ici.

Before that, I just want to let u know that me Fanny, I try kangaroo and it was good, but I feel ashame because they are so cute!
Anyway after spending the night in a casino/hotel (we get ready for Vegas) we took the train (again) to Sydney and god that was long and I'm really glad we don't go on the train anymore.
We're enjoying our time in Sydney, there is so many things to do and to visit and mega beautiful beach.
Matt is actually booking a car for us to visit around Sydney this week end. last week end we went to the Blue Moutain and I can tell u that impressive but not as beautiful as my dear Gorges de l'Ardeche (don't forget I'm frnech and proud of it).
On tuesday, we're gonna leave kangoroo island or Andrew's Land if u prefer to Kiwi Island, where we're gonna travel in a camping van. Me and a camping van (and Matt obvousily), I can't really imagine that. Anywway I will see that pretty soon.
That's all for now, as I'm gonna go stuff my face with sushi as it's the only heathy alternative to Mc Donald or Hungry Jack here.

Je ne pense pas ! C'est juste que dans tout le pays (l'Australie pour ceux qui ne suivent pas), le concept d'internet cafe n'est aps tres connu. On a du marcher pendant des heures pour en trouver un dans Sydney. Donc nous pouvons constater que l'Australie n'est aps si developpe que ca ;P
Bref, nous, enfin, je n'ai pas complete le blog depuis longtemps mais il ya une bonne raison a cela, je suis en vacances et je fais ce que je veux :) (j'ai decide de mettre pleins de smileys dans ce post).
Enfin, apres Adelaide, nous sommes partis pour Melbourne ou nous avons pu assister au Moomba festival ou il y de superbes feux d'artifices, ensuite nous avons fait la Route du Grand Ocean avec un groupe que nous vous recommandons ils s'appellent Let's go bush, ils etaient vraiment supers. Donc voila un peu de pub gratuite pour eux.
Apres ca nous avons repris le train pour Adelaide...
Avant ca, il faut que je vous dise, que moi Fanny, j'ai mange du kangourou et que c'etait bon, mais je me sens super coupable vu qu'ils sont trop mignons !
Enfin bref, apres avoir passe la nuit dans un hotel/casino (on se prepare deja pour Vegas), on a repris le train (encore) pour Sydney et mon dieu c'etait vraiment long et je suis contente qu'on est plus a prendre le train jusqu'a la fin du voyage.
On passe du bon temps a Sydney, il y apleinsd e trucs a visiter et des superbes belles plages.
Matt est actuellement en train de reserver une voiture pour ce week end pour que nous aillions visiter les alentours de Sydney. Le week end dernier nous sommes alles dans les Montagnes Bleus et je peux vous dire que c'est assez impressionant mais pas aussi beau que mes cheres Gorges de L'Ardeche (n'oubliez pas je suis francaise et fiere de l'etre)
Mardi nous partons de l'ile de kangourou pour aller dans lile des kiwis, ou on va voyager en camping van. Moi et un camping van ( et Matt evidemment), j'ai du mal a imaginer. On va vite voir ca de toute facon.
C'est tout pour aujourd'hui. Je vais aller manger pleins de sushis vu que c'est la seule alternative dietetique a Mc Do et Burger King ici.

Down Under...
Here we are... of course everybody understand that we are in Australia (and no Andrew it is not the greatest country in the world as France is the greatest country in the world, nevermind you can't know everything, I forgive u).
So first, we would like to congratulate (not sure it's really english but nevermind...) Andrew and Kate for their engagement and I would like to add that someone that I know could do the same (I prefer not to tell more it would be too obvious).
We were really sad to leave South East Asia and all our friends, but I guess that a part of the experience, you meet people and you share great moment, and it's already time to move on.
We just arrived in Adelaide today. We had to change our plan cause we've got a pass with the Indian Pacific, the Ghan and the Overland and we wanted to go to Ayers Rock but the train is fulled book for two week so it's basically crap so instead we're going to go to Melbourne and do the great ocean road. We need to rent a car, cause you learn really quickly that in Australia without a car, you can't do much everything is so far away from everything.
The train (indian Pacific) was great, they've even got a song (I will sing to u when we will be back, I love it).
Anyway, just to tell u that I used to say yeah whatever when all the aussies that I know where saying that in the center of Australia there is nothing, so my bad there is really nothing, it's crazy, I couldn't believe my eyes. Emptiness on thousand miles...
The good thing is as soon as we arrived in Perth (the second day if you want to know everything), we saw walibi really close like I was one meter away from it and a koala like 50 cm away from this cuddly thing. In fact when you look closely and you see the claws you don't want a hug anymore.
After Melbourne, we will go back to Adelaide and after that go Sydney for 15 days-ich (I know it's silly to go back to Adelaide to go to Sydney when you are in Melbourne but we don't have choice with the train ticket).

Nous y sommes...en Australie biensur ( et non Andrew, l'Australie n'est pas le meilleur pays au monde car c'est la France qu'il l'est, c'est pas grave on peut pas tout savoir, je t'excuse).
Donc tout d'abord, on voudrait feliciter Andrew et Kate pour leur fiancialle et je voudrasi ajouter que quelqu'un que je connais pourrais se bouger les fesses pour faire la meme chose (je n'en dis pas plus, je ne voudrais pas que ca soit trop flagrant)
On a ete tres triste de quitter l'Asie du Sud Est et tous les gens rencontres la-bas, mais je pense que ca fait parti de l'experience, on rencontre des gens on passe de supers moments et on doit deja passer a autre chose.
On est arrive a Adelaide aujourd'hui. On a du changer notre plan initial, car nous avons un pass qui nous permet de voayger sur la ligne de l'Indian Pacicfic, le Ghan et le Overland, et nous voulions aller a l'Ayers Rock mais les train sont complets sur 2 semaines donc c'est caca donc a la place nous allons a Melbourneet nous allons faire the Great Ocean Road. On a besoin de louer une voiture car on apprend tres vite qu'en Australie sans une voiture on peut pas faire grand chose vu que tout est a des distances enormes de tout.
Le train (Indian Pacific) etait geniale, ils ont meme une chanson (je vous la chanterais quand on rentrera, je l'adore)
Bref, juste pour ajouter que je disais toujours quand les australiens que nous connaissions nous diser que le centre de l'Australie est vide "ouais ouais c'est ca", et bien toutes mes excuses, c'est fou mais y'a vraiment rien de rien, Du vide sur des milliers de kilometres...
Une chose super c'est que des qu'on est arrive a Perth (le deuxieme jour exactement), on a vu un walibi, j'etais a moins d'un metre de lui et j'etias a 50 cm d'un koala. Enfait quand on regarde attentivement un koala on a pas trop envie qu'il vienne vous faire un gate vu les griffes enormes que ca a.
Apres Melbourne, nous retournons sur Adelaide et apres nous passerons 15 jours plus ou moins a Sydney (je sais c'est deb de retourner a Adelaide quand on est a Melboourne pour aller a Sydney mais bon avec notre pass on a pas le choix.

Nearly good bye Vietnam - Bientot au revoir Vietnam
Chào anh,
We arrived in Hanoi by a night train this morning. Yes we did it (twice now from Nha Trang to Hoi An the first time), we slept in a train and we didn't have a shower. Can you believe I did that! And I didn't even complain.
Night train are really good fun and you sleep quite well in fact, apart when vietnameses peole decide to have a party with really loud music in the next compartment to yours, but that's a nother story.
Anyway, we left Hoi An to Hue, which a really interesting city as you've got a the residence of the emperor and the remaining building of the forbidden purple city. I can tell u that these people they knew how to live in style. It's breath taking.
We did as well a boat trip on the Perfume River, which can't keep this name anymore cause it smells anything but perfume.
Today, we 're gonna go to a Water puppet show on the Hanoi's Lake (I know I should remember the name of the Lake but I barely remember how to say hello or thank you so don't expect too much of my vietnamese speaking skills).
We're going to leave Hanoi and Vietnam in a few days and we will go to Australia, so if the aussie that we know have any suggestions on what to do in Perth or AliceSpirngs or Sydney, feels free to post your comments.
Matt just remind me that today, it's Margot's birthday...
Happy Birthday Margot, hope you will have a huge chocolate cake for your birthday (think about me when you will eat a huge piece).

Nous sommes arrives ce matin a Hanoi par train de nuit. Oui nous l'avons fait (deux fois deja en fait, la premiere fois c'etait de Nha Trang a Hoi An), on a dormi dans le train et on a meme pas pris de douche. Moi, j'ai fait ca, j'arrive pas a le croire, et j'ai meme pas rale.
Les trains de nuits, c'est assz marrant en fait et on dort assez bien, a part quand des vietnamiens decidebt de faire la fete avec de la musique traditionelle dans le compartiment d'a cote mais ca c'est une autre histoire.
Bref, pour resume, on a quitte Hoi An pour Hue, qui est une ville tres interessante a decouvrir. Il y a la residence de l'empereur et les vestiges de la Cite interdite poupre. Je peux vous dire que ces gens savaient vivre. C'est a couper le souffle.
On a aussi fait une croisiere sur la riveire des Parfums, qui ne meritent plus son nom vu que ca sent tout sauf le parfum.
Aujourd'hui, nous allons aller voir un spectacle de marionnettes d'eau sur le lac d'Hanoi (je sais je devrais me rappeller du nom mais j'arrive a peine a me rappeller comment dire bonjour et merci donc n'attendez pas trop de moi sur le langage vietnamien) .
Nous allons quitter Hanoi et le Vietnam dans quelques jours et nous partons pour l'Australie donc si les australiens que nous connaissont peuvent nous suggerer des adresses a Perth, AliceSprings ou Sydney, allez y, poster vos commentaires.
Matt vient juste de me rappeller que c'est l'anniversaire de Margot.
Bon anniversaire Margot, j'esper que t'auras un enorme gateau au chocolat pour ton anniversaire (penses a moi quand t'en mangeras une grosse part).
