Hi guys,
Here we are, back to the normal life, I can't really change the name of the blog but we're still in a new part of the world, everything is new for us, in a few years everything changed in France and everybody makes fun of us as we put english word in all our sentences.
So Matt started his new job on monday and his dad had already planed a lot of work for him, first conference call at 10.00pm with a client in Saoudi Arabia, Matt was not that happy!!!
Me, I started school on monday as well. So you can easily deduce that Matt is the one who makes the money and I'm the one who spend it, I love it!!!
I'm gonna learn a lots of new stuuf, it feels really geeky, but it's great so far I love it and people in my class seems really nice. So weird to be with all these people speaking french all day long but easier as well.
Funny thing, there is a girl in my class she used to leave in London in Sheperd's Bush and guess where she was working, yesssssssssssss... in Baker Street. She's been back for a month already, and she find it really weird as well.
Anyway, we should have our house beginning of june, so the offer is still on, come whenever you want guys, knowing that I will be there only at week end and you will have to stay only with Matt, so all single pretty girls are not invited.

This is the end... - C'est la fin
... my only friend the end... ok it's not really like that but I love this song from the Doors. Anyway, that will be MY las post from far away as we can conclude that Matt was not really active on the blog, we all agree about that.
We are at the Las Vegas airport, we had an awesome time in America, and Las Vegas is definitely the most crazy place in the world.
Matt is currently buying sweets in the airport shop, and I said THE airport shop as in our terminal there is only two shops, I'm glad they've got a wifi spot.
Anyway, to tell us what we did this last few days. First, we saw the Grand Canyon, and I have to tell u, if u go in america for one thing that must be this one, it's just unbelievable and as the said in the guide book, nothing can't prepare u to what you're going to see, that one of the most beautiful thing I've ever seen, it will put tear in your eyes and make you feel you're a little nothing.
After the Grand Canyon and the desertic land of Arizona (a real cowboy movie), we went to Las Vegas which is more than crazy and quite unbelievable but on a differnt level. We manage not to loose to many dollars and we went to see an incredible show from Le Cirque du Soleil, KA, and I've had to tell u, that's really something, that's a terrific show.
I guess I should turn off the computer as they will soon call us in the plane. Speak u soon guys, and for some of u in real.

Matt est en train d'acheter des sucreries dans le magasin de l'aeroport et je dis le magasin car il y a seulement 2 magasins (dont un est un restaurant), je suis contente qu'il y est une connection wifi.
Bref, pour vous dire ce que nous avons fait des derniers jours, nous sommes alles au Grtnad Canyon et je dois vous dire que si vous devez voir une seule chose aux USA, c'est celle la, c'est juste incroyable et comme ils le disent dans le guide, rien ne peut vous preparer a ce que vous allez voir, c'est l'une des choses les plus magnifiques que j'ai jamais vu, a vous en mettre les larmes aux yeux et vous faire sentir vraiment peu de choses.
Apres le Grand Canyon et les terres desertiques de l'Arizona (un vrai film de cowboy), nous sommes alles a Las Vegas qui est plus que fou et aussi assez incroyable mais a un niveau different. On a reussi a ne pas perdre trop d'argent dans les casinos et nous avons vu un superbe show du Cirque du Soleil, Ka, et c'est vraiment quelquechose, un show vraiment genial.
Bon je crois qu'il est temps pour moi d'eteindre l'ordi car on va bientot nous appeller pour l'embarquement. A bientot et pour certains a tres tres bientot.

Matt is writing this post... - Mathieu ecrit ce post
... no I'm kidding, it's still me. Matt is (try to picture this in your head) in his underwear, in front of the TV. The perfect Al Bundy. God, sometimes I feel like the luckiest girl in the world!
Anyway, already in may and i didn't post anything since half of april, so here we go, that might be one of the last post from far far away. We are in the US, and you know what, it's not as bad as we thought. You know french, how we are with the americans, but I have to say we met really helpful and nice people. Matt, obsiously, says that California is differnet from the rest of the US, but I really enjoy my time here, my belly not so much, food is really greasy, good but really greasy. We had the best burger in LA at Tommy's with chili, god that was good. We went to the Universal Studios and we saw the set of Desperate Housewives, you can bet that I was mega excited. LA was really like on TV, in each piece of street you spot something you've seen in a movie. But for now, our heart is with San Francisco, this city is fantastic (thanks to Deb and Andy for their good book address). We visited Alcatraz, said hello to the sea lion on the pier 39 (god, they stink so much) and we ride on cable car (which by the way, it's great, i love it).
Tommorow, we're leaving for the Sonoma Valley and we're going to do some wine tasting, and after that the Death Valley will open its door to us following by the Grand Canyon and we finish by Vegas, where I will try to get Matt drunk to marry me (like in Married with children).
Anyway, we are nearly back in UK for a few days and after that to old good France. So, as soon as we get a place to live, you're all welcome to spend your holidays in the south east of France.
That's it for tonight guys (by the way, i'm writing on my brand new laptop, Matt took a picture of me when I was opening it and make a video saying that I was becoming a geek, so to make it clear I'm not a geek, not even a nerd, I'm with the cool people ok, not the geek, I'm with the cool people).

... non je deconne, c'est toujours moi. Matt est (essayer de vous faire une image dans la tete) en sous vetement sur le lit en train de regarder la TV. Le parfait Al Bundy. Dieu, parfois, je me sens comme la fille la plus chanceuse de la terre!
Bref, deja en mai et je n'ai rien mis sur le blog depuis mis avril, donc nous y voila, c'est peu etre le dernier post que je fais depuis nos vacances de tres loin. Nous sommes au USA, and vous savez quoi, c'est pas aussi mal que ce que l'on pensait. Vous savez comment nous sommes nous francais avec les americains, mais je dois dire que nous avons rencontre seulement des gens tres serviables et gentils. Matt, naturellement, dit que la Californie est differente du reste des USA, mais franchement je passe vraiment du bon temps ici, mon ventre pas tellement vu que la nourriture est super grasse, bonne mais tres grasse. On a mange des supers burgers a Los Angeles chez Tommy's avec du chili, dieu que c'etait bon. On est alle aux Studios Universal ou j'ai pu voir la ou se tourne Desperate Housewives, je vous laisse imaginer mon etat d'excitation.
Los Angeles, c'est vraiment comme a la TV, a chaque coin de rue on reconnait un truc qu'on a vu dans un film ou a la TV. Mais je dois dire que notre endroit prefere pour l'instant est San Francisco, cette cille est geniale. Nous avons visite Alcatraz, dit bonjour aux lions de mers sur le pier 39 (dieu, que ca sent mauvais) et on est monte sur un cable car (j'ai adore).
Demain, nous partons pour la Sonoma Valley ou nous allons faire quelques degustations de vin, et apres ca ce sera la vallee de la mort, puis le Grand Canyon et pour finir Vegas, ou j'essairais de saouler Matt pour qu'on se marie (comme dans Maries 2 enfants)
Breef, on est bientot de retour en Angleterre pour quelques jours puis pares ce sera le retour dans notre bonne vieille France. Donc des qu'on aura un endroit pour vivre, vous etes tous les bienvenus pour passer vos vacances dans le Sud-Est de la France.

Lord of the Kiwis - Le Seigneur des Kiwis
Yeeesssssssss, we made it. We are in New Zealand, we survive all the deadliest animals in Australia and we are now safe in New Zealand, though some sheeps are pretty agressive.
One thing to say about New Zealand, it's more than beautiful and if I didn't love France so much I will move here to live but don't worry folks, I know that you will miss me to much so for u and only for u I stay in the North Hemisphere. Nahhhh that's alright don't thank me, I do it for U!
Unfortunatelly we didn't see wild kiwis they are quite rare in the wild now. Endangered species!!! So we went to a wild reserve and we saw some of them. I have to tell u the weidrdest stuff I ever seen with the platypus cause yeah we saw some in Australia.
On the other end, we saw some really wild seal and I can tell u that they get pretty piss off when you disturb them or if some sufers swim where they've decided to swim too.
Still didn't see any hobbits but for the LOR fan we saw Pelenore fields, Fangorn Forest and other stuff that I don't remember but my geeky boyfriend will be really please to explain u when he decide to approch a computer... nahhhh don't expect that before the end of the trip!!!
Anyway, I have to go cause I've got more driving on the left to do, cause yes I'm drivng on the left and with a wheel on the left! And no I didn't kill anybody (yet) and I'm quite good actually. Maybe all this time I was wrong when I was in France and I'm born to drive on the left side (scary!!!).

Ouiiiiiiiiiii, on l'a fait. On est en Nouvelle Zelande, on a survecu tous les plus dangereux animaux qu'on peut trouver en Australie et nous sommes maintenant sains et saufs en Nouvelle Zelande, quoique certains moutons semblent assez agressifs.
Une chose a dire a propos de la Nouvelle Zelande, c'est plus que beau et si je n'aimais pas autant mon pays je demenagerais ici mais pas de soucis les amis, je sais que je vous manquerais trop donc seulement pour vous je reste habiter dans l'hemisphere nord. Nooooon, c'est bon ne me remercais pas, rappellez vous juste que je fais ca pour VOUS!
Malheuresment nous n'avons pas eu la chance de voir des kiwis dans la nature, ils se sont assez rares. Especes en voie de disparition!!! Donc nous sommes alles dans unreserve naturelle specialise en kiwis pour en voir et on en a vu. Je dois vous dire que c'est le truc le plus bizarre que j'ai jamais vu avec l'ornithorinque car oui on en a vu en Australie.
Par contre, on a vu des phoques et je peux vous dire qu'ils sont assez grgnons quand on les derange ou quand des sufeurs planchent du cote ou ils ont decides de nager.
Toujours pas de hobbits en vue mais pour les fan de LOR on a vu les champs du Pelenore et aussi la foret de Phangorn et d'autres trucs que Mathieu pourra vous expliquer, par contre n'attendez pas que ca soit tape sur le blog avant la fin du voyage!
Bref, je dois y aller car on a plus de route a faire et oui moi aussi je conduis et oui sur la gauche avec le volant a gauche! Et non j'ai encore tue personne et je suis assez douee en fait. C'est comme un revelation pour moi comme si toutes ces annees ou j'avais conduit du mauvias cote en France prenez enfin un sens ;p J'etais nee pour conduire sur le cote gauche de la route.

Am I as lazy as Matt? - Est ce que je suis aussi faineante que Mathieu ?
I don't think so! It's just this all country (Australia for the one who are not following) doesn't know the concept of internet cafe. We had to walk for hours to find one in Sydney. So you can see that Australia is not as developed that what you thought ;p
Anyway, we, I mean, I didn't update the blog for a while but there was a good reason on top of the first one, I'm on holiday so I do whatever I want :) (I decide to put a lots of smileys in this post).
Anyway, after Adelaide we went to Melbourne and it was the Moomba festival and it was really good fun with amazing fireworks, we did the Great Ocean Road with a tour that i will recommend, it's called Let's go bush and they are really great. So here we go free advert for them.
After that we took the train again to Adelaide...
Before that, I just want to let u know that me Fanny, I try kangaroo and it was good, but I feel ashame because they are so cute!
Anyway after spending the night in a casino/hotel (we get ready for Vegas) we took the train (again) to Sydney and god that was long and I'm really glad we don't go on the train anymore.
We're enjoying our time in Sydney, there is so many things to do and to visit and mega beautiful beach.
Matt is actually booking a car for us to visit around Sydney this week end. last week end we went to the Blue Moutain and I can tell u that impressive but not as beautiful as my dear Gorges de l'Ardeche (don't forget I'm frnech and proud of it).
On tuesday, we're gonna leave kangoroo island or Andrew's Land if u prefer to Kiwi Island, where we're gonna travel in a camping van. Me and a camping van (and Matt obvousily), I can't really imagine that. Anywway I will see that pretty soon.
That's all for now, as I'm gonna go stuff my face with sushi as it's the only heathy alternative to Mc Donald or Hungry Jack here.

Je ne pense pas ! C'est juste que dans tout le pays (l'Australie pour ceux qui ne suivent pas), le concept d'internet cafe n'est aps tres connu. On a du marcher pendant des heures pour en trouver un dans Sydney. Donc nous pouvons constater que l'Australie n'est aps si developpe que ca ;P
Bref, nous, enfin, je n'ai pas complete le blog depuis longtemps mais il ya une bonne raison a cela, je suis en vacances et je fais ce que je veux :) (j'ai decide de mettre pleins de smileys dans ce post).
Enfin, apres Adelaide, nous sommes partis pour Melbourne ou nous avons pu assister au Moomba festival ou il y de superbes feux d'artifices, ensuite nous avons fait la Route du Grand Ocean avec un groupe que nous vous recommandons ils s'appellent Let's go bush, ils etaient vraiment supers. Donc voila un peu de pub gratuite pour eux.
Apres ca nous avons repris le train pour Adelaide...
Avant ca, il faut que je vous dise, que moi Fanny, j'ai mange du kangourou et que c'etait bon, mais je me sens super coupable vu qu'ils sont trop mignons !
Enfin bref, apres avoir passe la nuit dans un hotel/casino (on se prepare deja pour Vegas), on a repris le train (encore) pour Sydney et mon dieu c'etait vraiment long et je suis contente qu'on est plus a prendre le train jusqu'a la fin du voyage.
On passe du bon temps a Sydney, il y apleinsd e trucs a visiter et des superbes belles plages.
Matt est actuellement en train de reserver une voiture pour ce week end pour que nous aillions visiter les alentours de Sydney. Le week end dernier nous sommes alles dans les Montagnes Bleus et je peux vous dire que c'est assez impressionant mais pas aussi beau que mes cheres Gorges de L'Ardeche (n'oubliez pas je suis francaise et fiere de l'etre)
Mardi nous partons de l'ile de kangourou pour aller dans lile des kiwis, ou on va voyager en camping van. Moi et un camping van ( et Matt evidemment), j'ai du mal a imaginer. On va vite voir ca de toute facon.
C'est tout pour aujourd'hui. Je vais aller manger pleins de sushis vu que c'est la seule alternative dietetique a Mc Do et Burger King ici.

Before that, I just want to let u know that me Fanny, I try kangaroo and it was good, but I feel ashame because they are so cute!
Anyway after spending the night in a casino/hotel (we get ready for Vegas) we took the train (again) to Sydney and god that was long and I'm really glad we don't go on the train anymore.
We're enjoying our time in Sydney, there is so many things to do and to visit and mega beautiful beach.
Matt is actually booking a car for us to visit around Sydney this week end. last week end we went to the Blue Moutain and I can tell u that impressive but not as beautiful as my dear Gorges de l'Ardeche (don't forget I'm frnech and proud of it).
On tuesday, we're gonna leave kangoroo island or Andrew's Land if u prefer to Kiwi Island, where we're gonna travel in a camping van. Me and a camping van (and Matt obvousily), I can't really imagine that. Anywway I will see that pretty soon.
That's all for now, as I'm gonna go stuff my face with sushi as it's the only heathy alternative to Mc Donald or Hungry Jack here.

Je ne pense pas ! C'est juste que dans tout le pays (l'Australie pour ceux qui ne suivent pas), le concept d'internet cafe n'est aps tres connu. On a du marcher pendant des heures pour en trouver un dans Sydney. Donc nous pouvons constater que l'Australie n'est aps si developpe que ca ;P
Bref, nous, enfin, je n'ai pas complete le blog depuis longtemps mais il ya une bonne raison a cela, je suis en vacances et je fais ce que je veux :) (j'ai decide de mettre pleins de smileys dans ce post).
Enfin, apres Adelaide, nous sommes partis pour Melbourne ou nous avons pu assister au Moomba festival ou il y de superbes feux d'artifices, ensuite nous avons fait la Route du Grand Ocean avec un groupe que nous vous recommandons ils s'appellent Let's go bush, ils etaient vraiment supers. Donc voila un peu de pub gratuite pour eux.
Apres ca nous avons repris le train pour Adelaide...
Avant ca, il faut que je vous dise, que moi Fanny, j'ai mange du kangourou et que c'etait bon, mais je me sens super coupable vu qu'ils sont trop mignons !
Enfin bref, apres avoir passe la nuit dans un hotel/casino (on se prepare deja pour Vegas), on a repris le train (encore) pour Sydney et mon dieu c'etait vraiment long et je suis contente qu'on est plus a prendre le train jusqu'a la fin du voyage.
On passe du bon temps a Sydney, il y apleinsd e trucs a visiter et des superbes belles plages.
Matt est actuellement en train de reserver une voiture pour ce week end pour que nous aillions visiter les alentours de Sydney. Le week end dernier nous sommes alles dans les Montagnes Bleus et je peux vous dire que c'est assez impressionant mais pas aussi beau que mes cheres Gorges de L'Ardeche (n'oubliez pas je suis francaise et fiere de l'etre)
Mardi nous partons de l'ile de kangourou pour aller dans lile des kiwis, ou on va voyager en camping van. Moi et un camping van ( et Matt evidemment), j'ai du mal a imaginer. On va vite voir ca de toute facon.
C'est tout pour aujourd'hui. Je vais aller manger pleins de sushis vu que c'est la seule alternative dietetique a Mc Do et Burger King ici.

Down Under...
Here we are... of course everybody understand that we are in Australia (and no Andrew it is not the greatest country in the world as France is the greatest country in the world, nevermind you can't know everything, I forgive u).
So first, we would like to congratulate (not sure it's really english but nevermind...) Andrew and Kate for their engagement and I would like to add that someone that I know could do the same (I prefer not to tell more it would be too obvious).
We were really sad to leave South East Asia and all our friends, but I guess that a part of the experience, you meet people and you share great moment, and it's already time to move on.
We just arrived in Adelaide today. We had to change our plan cause we've got a pass with the Indian Pacific, the Ghan and the Overland and we wanted to go to Ayers Rock but the train is fulled book for two week so it's basically crap so instead we're going to go to Melbourne and do the great ocean road. We need to rent a car, cause you learn really quickly that in Australia without a car, you can't do much everything is so far away from everything.
The train (indian Pacific) was great, they've even got a song (I will sing to u when we will be back, I love it).
Anyway, just to tell u that I used to say yeah whatever when all the aussies that I know where saying that in the center of Australia there is nothing, so my bad there is really nothing, it's crazy, I couldn't believe my eyes. Emptiness on thousand miles...
The good thing is as soon as we arrived in Perth (the second day if you want to know everything), we saw walibi really close like I was one meter away from it and a koala like 50 cm away from this cuddly thing. In fact when you look closely and you see the claws you don't want a hug anymore.
After Melbourne, we will go back to Adelaide and after that go Sydney for 15 days-ich (I know it's silly to go back to Adelaide to go to Sydney when you are in Melbourne but we don't have choice with the train ticket).

On a ete tres triste de quitter l'Asie du Sud Est et tous les gens rencontres la-bas, mais je pense que ca fait parti de l'experience, on rencontre des gens on passe de supers moments et on doit deja passer a autre chose.
On est arrive a Adelaide aujourd'hui. On a du changer notre plan initial, car nous avons un pass qui nous permet de voayger sur la ligne de l'Indian Pacicfic, le Ghan et le Overland, et nous voulions aller a l'Ayers Rock mais les train sont complets sur 2 semaines donc c'est caca donc a la place nous allons a Melbourneet nous allons faire the Great Ocean Road. Une chose super c'est que des qu'on est arrive a Perth (le deuxieme jour exactement), on a vu un walibi, j'etais a moins d'un metre de lui et j'etias a 50 cm d'un koala. Enfait quand on regarde attentivement un koala on a pas trop envie qu'il vienne vous faire un gate vu les griffes enormes que ca a.
Apres Melbourne, nous retournons sur Adelaide et apres nous passerons 15 jours plus ou moins a Sydney (je sais c'est deb de retourner a Adelaide quand on est a Melboourne pour aller a Sydney mais bon avec notre pass on a pas le choix.

Nearly good bye Vietnam - Bientot au revoir Vietnam
Chào anh,
We arrived in Hanoi by a night train this morning. Yes we did it (twice now from Nha Trang to Hoi An the first time), we slept in a train and we didn't have a shower. Can you believe I did that! And I didn't even complain.
Night train are really good fun and you sleep quite well in fact, apart when vietnameses peole decide to have a party with really loud music in the next compartment to yours, but that's a nother story.
Anyway, we left Hoi An to Hue, which a really interesting city as you've got a the residence of the emperor and the remaining building of the forbidden purple city. I can tell u that these people they knew how to live in style. It's breath taking.
We did as well a boat trip on the Perfume River, which can't keep this name anymore cause it smells anything but perfume.
Today, we 're gonna go to a Water puppet show on the Hanoi's Lake (I know I should remember the name of the Lake but I barely remember how to say hello or thank you so don't expect too much of my vietnamese speaking skills).
We're going to leave Hanoi and Vietnam in a few days and we will go to Australia, so if the aussie that we know have any suggestions on what to do in Perth or AliceSpirngs or Sydney, feels free to post your comments.
Matt just remind me that today, it's Margot's birthday...
Happy Birthday Margot, hope you will have a huge chocolate cake for your birthday (think about me when you will eat a huge piece).

Nous sommes arrives ce matin a Hanoi par train de nuit. Oui nous l'avons fait (deux fois deja en fait, la premiere fois c'etait de Nha Trang a Hoi An), on a dormi dans le train et on a meme pas pris de douche. Moi, j'ai fait ca, j'arrive pas a le croire, et j'ai meme pas rale.
Les trains de nuits, c'est assz marrant en fait et on dort assez bien, a part quand des vietnamiens decidebt de faire la fete avec de la musique traditionelle dans le compartiment d'a cote mais ca c'est une autre histoire.
Bref, pour resume, on a quitte Hoi An pour Hue, qui est une ville tres interessante a decouvrir. Il y a la residence de l'empereur et les vestiges de la Cite interdite poupre. Je peux vous dire que ces gens savaient vivre. C'est a couper le souffle.
On a aussi fait une croisiere sur la riveire des Parfums, qui ne meritent plus son nom vu que ca sent tout sauf le parfum.
Aujourd'hui, nous allons aller voir un spectacle de marionnettes d'eau sur le lac d'Hanoi (je sais je devrais me rappeller du nom mais j'arrive a peine a me rappeller comment dire bonjour et merci donc n'attendez pas trop de moi sur le langage vietnamien) .
Nous allons quitter Hanoi et le Vietnam dans quelques jours et nous partons pour l'Australie donc si les australiens que nous connaissont peuvent nous suggerer des adresses a Perth, AliceSprings ou Sydney, allez y, poster vos commentaires.
Matt vient juste de me rappeller que c'est l'anniversaire de Margot.
Bon anniversaire Margot, j'esper que t'auras un enorme gateau au chocolat pour ton anniversaire (penses a moi quand t'en mangeras une grosse part).

We're broke and it's not my fault - On a plus de sous et c'est pas de ma faute
Hi guys,
We're now in Hoi An and god it's heaven one more time for me and for Matt has well. You can get tailored clothes and we went a little bit crazy, and I'm pleased to say that for once Matt spend more then me as he got 2 suits made. I have to say he looks fantastic. Me, I had 3 dress and 2 pairs of shoes (I had to it was too cheap not too).
Anyway, I had to say that I was a bit disapointed with what we saw in Vietnam, it was not what I was expecting, but now we are in Hoi An, that's really how I imagined Vietnam will be. I guess Saigon was not a typical vietnamese town as it's so huge and crazy. In Hoi An, you feel like at home from wherever you come from, everything is beautiful (and I'm not saying that only because of the tailors everywhere).
The best way to discover this town was to rent a motorcylce and that's what we did today and oh god, I thought we were going to die at least a million times (even if Matt will say that I exacerbate things) and I said at least 3 millions times to Matt that I hated him to do that to me. I asked for a helmet and they were laughing, that just doesn't exist here. Everybody is driving all over the place with no regards for red light or not or stop or whatever road signs you can get. But at the end of the day even if I was so scared that was good fun.
As usual, you can guess that Matt is drinking a beer and I'm updating the blog, but anyway he says hi and that's beer is really good.

Nous sommes maintenant a Hoi An et mon dieu c'est le paradis une fois de plus pour moi et Mathieu aussi. Ici vous pouvez vous faire faire des vetements sur mesures et on s'est un peu laches, mais je suis fiere de vous annoncer que pour une fois c'est Matt qui a plus depense que moi, il s'est fait faire deux costumes. Je dois dire qu'il est super beau dedans. Moi je me suis fait faire 3 robes et 2 paires de chaussures ( je le devais c'etait si peu cher).
Bref, je dois avouer que j'etais un peu decu par ce qu'on avait vu du Vietnam jusqu'a present, ce n'etait pas ce que j'esperais, amis maintenant que nous sommes a Hoi An, c'est vriament comme j'imaginais que le Vietnam serait. J'imagine que Saigon n'est pas la ville typiquement vietnamienne. Tout est si grand et fou. A Hoi An, on se sent comme a la maison de quelques pays qu'on soit, tout est magnifique (et je dis pas seulement ca parce qu'il y a des tailleurs de partout).
La meilleure faconde decouvrur cete ville s'est de louer un moto et c'est ce qu'on a fait aujourd'hui. Mon dieu, j'ai cru qu'on allait mourir au moins un million de fois (meme si Mathieu pense que j'exagere) et j'ai du lui dire au moins 3 millions de fois que je le detestais de me faire ca. J'ai demande un casque et ils ont juste rigole, je crois que ca n'existe pas ici. Tout le monde conduit n'importe ou, n'importe comment sans se soucier des feux rouges ou des stops ou de n'importe quels panneaux de signalisation. Mais bon je dois dire que c'etait assez sympa avec du recul.
Comme d'hab, Matt boit une biere et j'ecris les posts, mais il me charge de vous dire bonjour et que la biere est super bonne.
On espere que vous allez tous tres bien, a tres bientot.

Chuc Mung Nam Moi!
Hi everyone and happy new year !!!
As some people may have started to wonder if I was still alive the answer is yes :) but as you all know i am not as dedicated and good as fanny can be so .... thank to fanny to give you all some news about us. (I hereby confirm being in full posession of means and not having any pressure of any sorts from anyone) ;)
Although I was quite busy over the past few weeks eating my way through singapore, malaysia, thailand, cambodia and now vietnam. So many differents things to try it is just awesome.
I also went through the open water diver certification in thailand and now try to spend a bit of time below water as well (I swam with turtles, a leopard shark and a black tip shark to mention only the biggest ones but it is just great)
Time is just flying by and every country has its own charm so it is a real pleasure to go through and meet the people there.

J'ai ete pas mal occupe ces dernieres semaines a essayer les differentes specialites culinaires de singapour, malaisie, thailande, cambodge et vietnam. I l y a tellement de choses a essayer c'est tout simplement genial.
J'ai aussi passer ma certification de plongee en thailande et j'essaie maintnant de passer le plus de temps possible sous l'eau aussi ( j'ai eu la chance de nager avec des tortues, un requins leopard et un requin a pointe noire pour juste vous donner les plus gros mais c'est tout simplement genial)
Le temps passe tellement vite et chaque pays a ses propres charmes donc c'est a chaque fois un vrai plaisir de les visiter et de rencontrer et discuter les gens d'ici.

As some people may have started to wonder if I was still alive the answer is yes :) but as you all know i am not as dedicated and good as fanny can be so .... thank to fanny to give you all some news about us. (I hereby confirm being in full posession of means and not having any pressure of any sorts from anyone) ;)
Although I was quite busy over the past few weeks eating my way through singapore, malaysia, thailand, cambodia and now vietnam. So many differents things to try it is just awesome.
I also went through the open water diver certification in thailand and now try to spend a bit of time below water as well (I swam with turtles, a leopard shark and a black tip shark to mention only the biggest ones but it is just great)
Time is just flying by and every country has its own charm so it is a real pleasure to go through and meet the people there.

Good morning Vietnam... and Happy Piggy New Year - Good morning Vietnam et Bonne annee du Cochon
Hello guys,
As you can guess by the title of this post, we are in Vietnam now. We arrived yesterday in Ho Chi Minh City where (believe me) everything is totally crazy. I guess there is 2 reasons for that. Fisrt one, it's new year eve tonight and second, I think they are just crazy :) There is motorcycle everywhere even on footpath, you have to watch each of your step all the time. Vietnamese mainly eat, drink, play, laugh and shop and let the time goes by. It's really different from Cambodia. Oh yes! A bit of a shock in fact!
Anyway, we're both excited for tonight as it's gonna be party everywhere and food and drink, etc...
We're gonna meet our new group tonight as well. All the people we were travelling with through Cambodia didn't saty with us to do the Vietnamese part. It's quite sad. You start to know people and as you start to become really close they have to leave. Shame... but I guess it's part of the trip.
I'm gonna write only a short post cause guess what Matt is gonna put something on the blog too.

Comme vous pouvez le lire grace au titre du blog, nous sommes au Vietnam (et oui Tof j'ai bien ecoute The End en arrivant). On est arrive hier a Ho Chi Minh Ville ou (croyez moi) tout est completement fou. Je pense qu'il ya deux raisons a ca. La premiere, c'est que ce soir c'est ler eveillon du jour de l'an et la deuxieme c'est qu'ils sont fous :)
Il ya des motos de partout, ils ocnduisent meme sur les trotoirs, on doit faire attention a chaque fois qu'on bouge un petit doigt. Les vietnamiens ont la vie assez cool, en gos, ils boivent, mangent, rigolent et font du shopping et prennent leur temps pour tout.
C'est tres different du Cambodge, c'est d'ailleurs assez surprenant.
Bref, on est assez ecxite car ce soir il va y avoir la fete partout et a boire et a manger., etc...
On va aussi rencontrer notre nouveau groupe. Les gens avec qui nous avons voyage au Cambodge ne reste pas topus avec nous pour le tour au Vietnam. C'est assez triste. Vous commencez a connaitre les gens et a etre proche d'eux et ils doivent partir, mais bon j'imagine que ca fait parti de l'experience du voyage aussi.
Je vais arreter la car miracle Matt veut publier un post !!!

Guess who is in Cambodia? - Devinez qui c'est qui est au Cambodge ?
Hello guys,
We've been in Cambodia for a week already. I know we are really bad not to give more news and thank to all the people who send us e-mail and we didn't have time to reply yet (Farrah, Arvind I swear I will reply).
Anyway, we joined our group who is really international. The name of our guide is Khon. He is 25 years old and speak perfect english and he hides to us that I was understanding french, cheeky!
Our group is composed by canadians (Jennifer and Heather but they don't speak french they are from Vancouver and Alberta), american (Mathilde, Connecticut), australians (Kim and her mum Barbara, and Lisa from Brisbane and Sydney, god there is aussie everywhere), 2 englishs ( Holly and Jason from London and Kent), and one guy from Belgium (Jo) but he doesn't speak french neither. What's wrong with u people, french is such a beautiful language.
Anyway, Cambodia is really amazing and really contrasted as you can guess. All these years of war have left a lot of scarves on the country and on the people.
We've visited the land mine (I will put pictures on the blog). It's unbelievable. A young boy who lost his leg on a mine was telling us his story and that was quite moving.
But even with that, they are so friencly people, they want to know everything about you and practice their english a lot. A few of them still speak french, mostly the oldest. And you can see how beautiful in the architecture it should have been before the war.
So I guess, you're asking why I'm again the one who put a post and Matt is not. Because Mister is scuba diving right now. I was on a boat trip on the Realm National Park. That was beautiful and for lunch we had amazing fish in a fishermen village and trust me, the fish couldn't be more fresh.
I forget to tell u where we are right now. We are in Sihanoukville. It's a city next to the sea, it's really nice, the beach is awesome and the food is gorgeous. We're gonna put on 20 kilos with this trip.
Matt tried spiders. Obviously as you can guess I didn't. He will tell u himself how it was like that he will have to write on the blog.
We're spending a few more days here and we're gonna go to Phnom Phen. And after that we will make our way to Vietnam starting by Ho Chi Minh Ville, even if Matt still calls it Saigon al the time. He is such a colonialist!!!
That's a pretty long post so I finish here. I hope everything is going well for u guys and speak you really soon.

Bref, nous avons rejiont notre groupe qui estd e compostion tres international. Le nom de notre guide est Khon. Il a 25 ans et il parle un parfait anglais et il nous a cache qu'il comprenait le francais, petit malin !
Notre groupe est compose de canadiens (Jennifer and Heather, mais elle parlent pas francais, elles sont de Vancouver et de l'Alberta), americain (Mathilde du Connecticut), australiens (Kim et sa maman Barbara, et Lisa de Brisbane et Sydney, mon dieu y'a vraiment des australiens de partout), 2 anglais (Holly et Jason de London et du Kent) et un gars de Belgique mais il parle pas francais (Jo).
Pourquoi les gens ne parlent ti'ils pas plus le francais, c'est un si beau langage.
Enfin bref, le Cambodge est vraiment etonnant et contrate, comme vous pouvez le deviner. Toutes ces annees de guerre ont laisses beaucoup de cicatrices sur le pays et sur les gens.Nous avons visite le musee des mines anti-personnel (je mettrai des photos sur le blog). C'est incroyable. Un jeune garcon qui a perdu sa jambe sur une mine nous a raconte son histoire et c'etait assez emouvant.
Donc je paris que vous vous demandez pourquoi je suis encore celle qui publie un post et pas Matt. Monsieur est en train de faire de la plongee. Moi je reviens d'une croisiere dans le Parc National Realm. C'etait magnifique et pour le dejeuner on a eu du poisson dans un village de pecheurs, croyez moi il pouvait pas faire plus frais.
J'ai oublie de vous dire ou on est. Nous sommes a Sihanoukville, C'est une ville cotiere, c'est tres jolie, avec de superbes plages et de la bouffe geniale. On va prendre au moins 20 kilos avec ce voyage.
Mathieu a essaye les araignees. Comme vous pouvez l'imaginer moi non. Il vous racontera a quoi ca a gout comme ca il sera oblige d'ecrire sur le blog.
On va passer quelques jours de plus ici et apres nous allons a Phnom Phen. Apres ca nous aprtirons pour le Vietnam en commencant par Ho Chi Minh Ville, meme si Matt l'appelle toujours Saigon. Il est tres colonialiste.
C'est un post assez long donc voila pour aujourd'hui. J'espere que tout le monde va bien et je vous reparle tres vite.

We are in Thailand - On est en Thailand
Hi guys,
Here we are in Thailand. We arrived friday with the ferry from Kuah which is on Langkawi Island to Satun in Thailand.
All I can say is that was weird. They put a movie on the ferry and it was Poseidon, basically the story of a cruise boat which got upside down by a massive wave and killed most of the people. Matt found that hilarious to put that on a boat... We definitely don't have the same sense of humour.
Anyway, we had such a long bus journey to come to Krabi and a lot of difficulty to find a hotel, it's like the all world has decided to come to Thailand at the same time as us. It's much more touristy than Malaysia but it's realy nice as well.
The food is 'oh my god' gorgeous (and don't trust them when they said it is not spicy, maybe for them but not for us...) and thai people are always smiling, the only person you can see with a gloomy face it's foreigner.
So after staying 2 days in Krabi, we head up to Ko Phi Phi, which is basically paradise, regarding everything, even if you can see some trace of the tsunami.
Yesterday I tried scuba diving (Matt didn't cause he already tried in France). In fact we were waiting to see what do I think about it before taking the course to pass the PADI. Well, in the morning and the night before I was sick again, so I didn't enjoy it as much as I could. It's really weird feeling, breathing really dry air under the water. At first I was more than panicking but the scuba diving teacher was great. I saw a lot of fishs, that was amazing. So to make the story short, Matt is taking the course right now, and me I'm updating the blog and after that I will go sun bathing. I will try again when my stomach will allow me to do it properly.
We're gonna leave on friday to Bangkok and spend 2 days there. We will meet the group with we are going travelling in Cambodia and Vietnam in Bangkok. Maybe at this time, it will be more difficult to give u news so you wil have to be patient till Australia.
We will try to put pictures as soon as we can.

Nous sommes en Thailande. Nous sommes arrives vendredi avec le ferry qui partait de Kuah, qui est sur l'ile de Pulau Langkawi, pour Satun en Thailande.
Tout ce que je peux dire c'est que c'etait bizarre. Ils ont mis un film sur le ferry, c'etait Poseidon, qui pour resumer, raconte l'histoire d'un bateau de croisiere qui se fait retourner par une enorme vague, qui tue le plupart des passagers. Matt a trouve ca tres drole de montrer ca sur le bateau... On a decidement pas le mem sens de l'humour. Enfin bref, on a eu un vraiment tres long trajet pour arriver a Krabi et pas mal de difficulte pour trouver un hotel, c'est comme si la planete entiere avait decider de passer ces vacances en Thailande en meme temps que nous. C'est beaucoup plus touristique que la Malaysie mais c'estt res beau aussi.
La nourriture est ' oh mon dieu' super bonne (ne jamais les croire quand ils disent que c'est pas epice, peut etre pour eux mais pour nous...) et les thais sourient tout le temps, les euls gens qu'on voient faire la gueule, se sont les etrangers.
Donc, pares avoir passe 2 jours a Krabi, nous sommes partis pour Ko Phi Phi, qui est tout simplement paradisiaque de tout point vu, meme si on peut voir qu'un tsunami est passe par la.
Hier, j'ai essaye la plongee sous marine (Matt non car il avait deja essaye en France). En fait, on attendait de voir si ca me plairait avant de prendre les cours pour passer le PADI. Et bien, le matin et pendant la nuit j'ai ete encore malade, donc je ne l'ai pas apprecie au mieux que j'aurais pu. C'est vriament bizarre, respirer de l'air tres sec sous l'eau. Au debut, j'etais en panique mais le pr9of de plongee etait super. J'ai vu pleins de poissons, c'etait impressionnant. Bref pour resumer, Matt est en train de faire les cours a ce moment meme et moi et bien je mets a jour le blog et apres j'irais faire un bain de soleil. Je reessayairais la plongee quand mon estomac me permettra de la faire comme il faut.
Nous partons vendredi pour Bangkok ou nous passerons 2 jours. Nous recontrerons le groupe avec lequel nous allons voyager a travers le Cambodge et le Vietnam la bas. Peut etre sera t'il plus difficile pour nous de mettre a jour le blog, donc vous devrez attendre qu'on soit en Australie.
On va essayer de mettre des photos le plus rapidement possible.

Nous sommes en Thailande. Nous sommes arrives vendredi avec le ferry qui partait de Kuah, qui est sur l'ile de Pulau Langkawi, pour Satun en Thailande.
Tout ce que je peux dire c'est que c'etait bizarre. Ils ont mis un film sur le ferry, c'etait Poseidon, qui pour resumer, raconte l'histoire d'un bateau de croisiere qui se fait retourner par une enorme vague, qui tue le plupart des passagers. Matt a trouve ca tres drole de montrer ca sur le bateau... On a decidement pas le mem sens de l'humour. Enfin bref, on a eu un vraiment tres long trajet pour arriver a Krabi et pas mal de difficulte pour trouver un hotel, c'est comme si la planete entiere avait decider de passer ces vacances en Thailande en meme temps que nous. C'est beaucoup plus touristique que la Malaysie mais c'estt res beau aussi.
La nourriture est ' oh mon dieu' super bonne (ne jamais les croire quand ils disent que c'est pas epice, peut etre pour eux mais pour nous...) et les thais sourient tout le temps, les euls gens qu'on voient faire la gueule, se sont les etrangers.
Donc, pares avoir passe 2 jours a Krabi, nous sommes partis pour Ko Phi Phi, qui est tout simplement paradisiaque de tout point vu, meme si on peut voir qu'un tsunami est passe par la.
Hier, j'ai essaye la plongee sous marine (Matt non car il avait deja essaye en France). En fait, on attendait de voir si ca me plairait avant de prendre les cours pour passer le PADI. Et bien, le matin et pendant la nuit j'ai ete encore malade, donc je ne l'ai pas apprecie au mieux que j'aurais pu. C'est vriament bizarre, respirer de l'air tres sec sous l'eau. Au debut, j'etais en panique mais le pr9of de plongee etait super. J'ai vu pleins de poissons, c'etait impressionnant. Bref pour resumer, Matt est en train de faire les cours a ce moment meme et moi et bien je mets a jour le blog et apres j'irais faire un bain de soleil. Je reessayairais la plongee quand mon estomac me permettra de la faire comme il faut.
Nous partons vendredi pour Bangkok ou nous passerons 2 jours. Nous recontrerons le groupe avec lequel nous allons voyager a travers le Cambodge et le Vietnam la bas. Peut etre sera t'il plus difficile pour nous de mettre a jour le blog, donc vous devrez attendre qu'on soit en Australie.
On va essayer de mettre des photos le plus rapidement possible.

Pulau Pangkor
Hiya,
Still don't remember to say hello in malay so ipanake everybody.
We are in Pulau Pangkor, which is a tiny island, with white sand beach and emerald water (feel like being in Lost but without being lost) and internet access as well. God I love technology.
As you can guess our skin has the colour of a cooked lobster, but we're drinking a lot of coconut to keep a good skin hydratation.
Shame we cannot put pictures on the blog. Computer doesn't have USB available. So you will have to wait to see us completely burned.
Today, it's a quick one, Matt is waiting for me on the beach with fresh beer.

Je ne me rappelle toujours pas comment on dit bonjour en malais donc parapluie a tous.

Malaysia - Malaisie
I would like to start my post by saying hello in malay but I can't remember how you say it. I just remember how to say umbrella so ipanake everybody,
So now, we are in Malaysia. We spend our first day in Melaka. I was expecting a quiet town, and not at all, shopping center everywhere. Actually, Matt said that I didn't read properly the number of people living in this town. I though it was as big as Montelimar (which is a town next to where we live in France), but in fact the population was 20 times more!!! So one more time I didn't read the guide properly.
Anyway, that was really nice. It was a mix between dutch, portuguese, english and malay architecture. Interesting but weird!
Today we are in Kuala Lumpur, which is huge as well, as it's the capital of Malaysia. At first we planned to stay 2 days there, but finally we decide that a little island with a beach, it's much better than big buildiong for holidays, so we are going to Pulau Pangkor and from there I think we will go to another island called Pulau Langkawi... and from there we will see where the wind makes us land (I try to translate a french expression but that sounds rubbish!)
For the medical news, my sister law will be glad to know that I start to use some of the medication. You don't need to know more than that, in fact it's a special code between me and her so don't try to break it.
Matt is fine, he is a rock.

J'aurias voulu commencer mon post par bonjour en malais mais je me rappelle plus comment on dit, par contre je me rappelle comment on dit parapluie donc ipanake a tous,
Donc nous voici en Malaisie. On a passe notre premiere journee a Melaka. Je croyais que l'on allait atterir dans une petite ville, mais pas du tout, y'a vait des centres commercials de partout. En fait , Matt a dit que j'avais mal lu le nombre d'habitants. Je pensais qu'on se retrouverait dans une ville comme Montelimar, mais en fait la population est 20 fois plus nombreuses!!! Donc oui, encore une fois j'avais pas bien lu le guide.
Bref, c'etait super. L'architecture etait un melange de hollandais, de portuguais, d'anglais et de malais. C'est bizarre mais interessant.
Aujourd'hui nous sommes a Kulua Lumpur, qui est vriament enorme, comme c'est la capitale.
Au debut, on avait planifie de passer deux jours ici, mais en fait on se sent plus d'humeur petite ile et plage, donc on va aller a Pulau Pangkor... et de la nous irons sur une autre ile appellee Pulau Langkawi... et de la on verra ou le vent nous portera.
Cote medical, ma belle soeur sera contente de savoir que j'ai entame le stocke de medicament qu'elle nous a fourni. Vous n'avez pas besoin d'en savoir plus, en fait c'est un code speciale entre elle et moi, donc n'essayez meme pas.
Matt va bien, c'est un roc.

Big kisses from Singapore - Bon baisers de Singapour
Hi guys,
Here we are in Singapore. The flight was 12hours and I thought that it was going to be hell, but in fact they give you a really wild choices for movies and TV series, so what you do, you eat and you watch movies. We couldn't manage to sleep. Ok the only time Matt was asleep I really needed the loo so I had to wake him up. I know I'm a pain.
While I'm telling what we were doing for this first day, Matt is checking out for an hotel in Melaka (not malaka Angelos) in Malaysia, it's our next destination. We're gonna spend 2 days in Singapore and leave on the third one.
So about Singapore, what to say... It's bloddy humid and hot, it feels like in a kettle. Everything is amazing, as everything is new. The buiding are a weird mix between really old and new. And oh my god, there is a tonne of shopping center. I think I found paradise. I've been really good, we didn't buy anything (yet, mouaaaaaa (that' my devil laugh)).
Matt is really good to me, he didn't try to exchange me for goods or money (if he was the one writing he will say yet).
Before I forget, Richard (not the one from Tribeka, my french Richard, and yes I write it in english because he can read english), in one of the shopping center they were doing the launch of a new World of Warcraft, people were queing to buy it first, so we took a picture,we know that you're going to enjoy it.

Ca y est, on est a Singapour. La duree du vol etait de 12 heures etje croyais que ca allait etre long mais en fait on peut choisir entre de nombreux films et de series teles sur un ecran LCD perso, donc ce qu'on a fait c'est manger et regarder des films.
On a eu du mal a dormir.Bon d'ccord, j'avoue, le seul moment ou Mathieu a reussi a s'endormir j'avais tres besoin d'aller au toilette, donc je l'ai reveille. Je sais, je suis chiante.
Pendant que je vous raconte tout cela, Matt est en train de reserver un hotel pour Melaka en Malaisie, c'est notre prochiane destination. On va passer 2 jours a Singapour et aprtir le troisieme.
Donc a propos de Singapour, que dire... Il fait super humide et chaud, donc on se sent un peu comme dans une bouilloire. Tout est geniale, car tout est nouveau pour nous. L'architecture est un melange de tres vieux et nouveaux. Et, oh mon dieu, y'a des centres commerciales a tous les coins de rues. Je pense que j'ai trouve le paradis.
Mais j'ai ete tres raisonnable, on a rien achete (pas encore, mouaaaa (ca c'est mon rire diabolique))
Matt est tres gentil avec moi, il n'a pas essaye de m'echanger contre un bien ou de l'argent (si c'etait lui qui ecrivait il dirait pas encore).
Avant que j'oublie, Richard, dans un des centres commerciaux, il faisait le lancement d'un nouveau World of WarCraft, il y avait beaucoup de monde qui faisait la queue pour l'acheter en avant premiere, donc on a pris une photo on sait que tu l'appreciera.

Lazy, lazy! - Grosse flemme
Hello boys and girls,
Sorry for our laziness, ok my laziness as Matt think it's better to differenciate our post.
So let's say that you will not read Matt a lot, because he is even lazier than me if it's possible.
Anyway, I should have start by Happy New Year all the best for all of u. I hope 2007 will bring you money (Andrew, keep the faith with the national lottery), love (our hairy greek friend will marry Nana Mouskouri (if you don't know her please have a look on google)), what else good health and all the rubbish that we are supposed to say for New Year wishes.
Anyway, we're going soon. On sunday exactly. I'm so stress and Matt is so relax which makes me even more stress and make me yell a lot. Funny no? I'm usually so calm and peaceful.
I can hear u say "Yeah right!"
If I was not that lazy I would have make a picture of Matt and I like last year, but I think you're gonna have a lot of funny pictures of us around the world in stupid situation, like me screaming because of a spider, snake and all the lovely stuff that we can find in Australia.
Why, whyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy, God has put all the most dangerous species in Australia and why, whyyyyyyyyyyyyyy are we going there?
I swear if I die there, first I will spend one month haunting Andrew because he is aussie so it will a little bit his fault, and after that I will spend the rest of my death singing the Crazy frog in Matt's hear.
See, I'm not nervous at allllllllllllllllland feel completely relax to go.
